Be Counseling Services is the independent therapy practice of Cherie Alleman, MA, LPC in Plymouth, MI.

I'm so glad you're here. I believe that therapy is about change. I will work with you to create custom goals and give you a space that is completely for you to work on your thoughts, feelings, and behaviors that you want to be different. I help clients work toward taking ownership and control over their life.

HOW IT WORKS

INTAKE

Our first session is an opportunity for you to share your concerns and what is bringing you in for therapy. We'll talk about your history, relationships and any symptoms you're experiencing as kind of a get-to-know-you session.

GOALS

Within the first couple of sessions, we will discuss your objectives and different evidence-based treatments that I think would be most effective for your personality style and goals. We will work together to tailor measurable progress checkpoints to make sure you get the most out of your sessions.

Meet the Clinicians

Cherie Alleman, MA, LPC

Nice to meet you! I am a clinical counselor and Plymouth native. I graduated from Clarks Summit University in 2005 with a double major in Bible and Psychology. I went on to Liberty University in Virginia for my Master's of Arts in Professional Counseling, graduating in 2009. I have worked in a variety of settings over the last 15 years with all ages and issues.

I am married and have 3 children. In my spare time I enjoy coffee, reading, time with my family and friends, travel, being creative and playing volleyball.

I truly believe that the fit with your therapist is one of the best predictors of outcome. Feel free to reach out for a free, 15 minute consultation to see if I would be a good fit for your needs!

Amanda Henry, MA, LLPC

Life can bring with it trials and tribulations. It can be difficult to navigate these difficult times, especially without support. That is where I can help. I can come along side of you and work with you to better handle these challenging times that seem too overwhelming. I can work with you as a collaborative partner in learning coping strategies and resilience. I can provide encouragement and empowerment with an empathetic and non-judgmental approach.

I have a background in working with anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, and teen issues. My approach to therapy is client-centered, while also incorporating cognitive-behavior therapy and solution-focused modalities. I feel that the therapeutic relationship is an important aspect of therapy, and my goal is to provide a safe, welcoming environment.

Let's face life's struggles together! I am currently accepting new clients online. Please reach out and we can see if it is a good fit!

Kyra VanderMeulen, MA, LLPC

Hi! My name is Kyra (pronounced Keera). I became a clinical counselor because I love helping people think creatively about the problems they experience. I have a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Moody Theological Seminary, and experience counseling teens and adults struggling with anxiety, depression, childhood trauma, eating disorders, relationship difficulties, communications skills, and cultural transitions.

I am married and have a furry, four-legged child. In my spare time I enjoy going out for coffee, hiding out in Barnes and Noble, reading books, walking the dog, gardening, and watching any number of food-related shows. I enjoy incorporating books into the counseling experience as well.

My goal as a therapist is to give you resources, support, and practice to empower you to live the life that you want. I identify my counseling style as client oriented with a general focus on cognitive-behavioral therapy and solution-focused approaches. Above all, I want everyone to know that each and every story matters and that asking for help is one of the bravest things anyone can do.
